EITC Initiatives
Thanks to the generous support of area businesses, the ELCO Education Foundation has approved more than $200,000 in EITC grant funding for innovative educational initiatives since 2013.
Recent grants include:
A bookworm vending machine to celebrate reading and literacy at Jackson Elementary School
Classroom technology such as digital crayons and stylus for iPads
Video, audio, and livestreaming equipment to stream high school athletic contests and major events such as music concerts, assemblies, and musicals as allowed by copyright
Photography, lighting, and computer equipment to assist students in yearbook preparation and production
Finger pulse oximeters, stethoscopes, and exam certification support for the popular EMT Program at the high school
Book carts, lumber, and books for the ELCO Bookmobile that travels through the district during the summer months to promote the importance of reading all year long
Contributions toward educational experiences, including the Veterans History Project, Envirothon, and a field trip for high school students to the Chesapeake Bay.
